Brooks Brothers announces the launch of "Brooks Brothers New York Gentleman." I suppose after they started selling pens, watches and such like, this was the inevitable next step.
They describe this new fragrance as "a fresh expression of classic citrus aromatic notes, subtle iris and wet greens with a smooth, woody finish."
I have no idea what it smells like, but the packaging design is hideous. The name is terrible too.
They should stick with Royall Lime, which Brooks has sold for years. It's a classic, and resolutely unflashy.

To get an idea of the smell, imagine a bad tenor at a poorly performed opera, after being pelted by various ripen fruit and vegs.
the e-mail i got announcing this just said the fragrance of new york. i could only think of the fragrance of new york on a stinking hot summer day... not a good image!
Brooks should stick to Bay Rum and Royall Lime. In other words, the Classics. Even that blue bottle looks sketchy.
Its really a good news that Brooks Brothers announces the launch of "Brooks Brothers New York Gentleman". I am excited to get the new fragrance.
